Naples Luxury Cruises

Question

As soon as the sailing opens, for the suite you actually want. Suite inventory is small. The best-placed suites on a Yacht Club or Retreat deck sell first, often a year out. Last-minute suite deals exist but you take whatever is left.

Why suites are different

A ship might have two thousand balconies and sixty Yacht Club suites. Prices on balconies move with demand. Suites simply sell out, and then the price of what is left goes up.

Book early, refare later

Most lines let you refare if the price drops before final payment. I watch every booking for that. You get the early choice of cabin and the later price.

Peak weeks for Florida ports

Christmas, New Year, Presidents' Week, spring break and Thanksgiving sell first. If you want a suite on one of those, book the day the itinerary is released.

How far out the lines open sales

Most lines release Caribbean sailings eighteen months to two years ahead. MSC and Celebrity usually open a full winter season at once. Regent and Seabourn open in waves and the top suites on a new ship go on the first morning.

Kathryn watches the release calendars and calls suite clients before the public sees the sailing. That is the whole advantage of an early booking: choice, not price.

Deposits, final payment and what changes cost

A suite deposit is usually larger than a cabin deposit and is sometimes non-refundable on the top categories. Final payment falls around ninety days before sailing on most lines and up to a hundred and twenty on the luxury lines.

Before final payment you can move dates, refare, or cancel with the deposit at risk. After it, changes cost real money. Kathryn puts every date in writing at booking so nobody is surprised.

Snowbird timing

If you are in Naples from November to April, the sailings you want leave in the same window everyone else wants. Book the winter sailing in the spring before, while you are still here and can talk it through in person.
