Regent Seven Seas Cruises · All-suite line

Researched, not sailed yet

Regent is an all-suite, all-balcony line where nearly everything is in the fare: drinks, speciality dining, shore excursions, Wi-Fi, gratuities and often flights. Its Caribbean season runs out of Miami each winter. Kathryn has not sailed Regent yet and says so.

What it actually is

  • Every cabin is a suite with a balcony. Ships carry around seven hundred guests.
  • Unlimited shore excursions are included. So are all restaurants, drinks and gratuities. Some fares include business-class air.
  • No ship-within-a-ship. The whole ship is the suite area.
  • Suite levels go from Veranda Suite to the Regent Suite, which is one of the largest at sea.

Where it sails from, near you

Regent sails Caribbean itineraries from Miami in winter. Some sailings start or end in Fort Lauderdale.

Port pages: Miami, Port Everglades, Port Canaveral, Tampa.

Who it fits

  • Travellers who hate add-on bills and want one price for everything.
  • People who take many excursions. Included excursions change the math fast.
  • Anyone who wants a small ship and a spacious suite as the baseline.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Families with children. Regent is an adult ship in feel.
  • Travellers who just want a nice suite for a week and do not care about excursions. A Yacht Club suite costs far less.
