Explora Journeys is the luxury line owned by the same family as MSC. All-suite ships, open bars, nine restaurants and a residential design. It sails Caribbean seasons from Miami. Kathryn has not sailed Explora yet and says so.
What it actually is
- Ships carry around nine hundred guests. Every cabin is an ocean-front suite with a walk-in closet.
- Drinks, most dining, Wi-Fi and gratuities are included. Excursions cost extra.
- The design is modern and quiet. It feels closer to a hotel than a ship.
- Explora I and Explora II are sailing. More ships are on order.
