Explora Journeys · MSC Group · Premium and upper-premium lines
Explora Journeys is the luxury brand of the family that owns MSC, with all-suite ships of around nine hundred guests, nine restaurants and a residential design. The entry suite is the Ocean Terrace Suite, and the top is the Owner's Residence. Explora sails Caribbean seasons from Miami. Kathryn has not sailed Explora and says so.

Ocean Terrace Suites and above
- Even the smallest suite, the Ocean Terrace, opens onto the sea and has a walk-in wardrobe.
- Ocean Grand Terrace and Ocean Penthouses add space. Ocean Residences and the Owner's Residence are the top.
- The fare covers drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities and most of the nine restaurants. Two chef-led venues and the spa are extra.
- There is no ship-within-a-ship. The whole ship is the suite area.

From Florida
Explora winters in the Caribbean out of Miami. Summer takes the ships to Europe. It calls at Ocean Cay, MSC's private island, on some sailings.
The ships
Explora III · Explora II · Explora I
A modern hotel at sea. No wood-and-brass, no formal nights, a lot of glass and pale stone. Quiet by design.
