Seabourn · Carnival Corporation · All-suite luxury lines
Seabourn runs five small ocean ships and two expedition ships, all suites, all with open bars and included dining. The winter Caribbean season leaves from Miami and Fort Lauderdale. The marina at the stern, which folds out for swimming and water sports on calm days, is the thing no other line in this group offers. I have not sailed Seabourn and I do not pretend otherwise.

Penthouse, Owner's, Signature and Wintergarden Suites
- The Wintergarden Suite has a glass-roofed conservatory with a daybed. There are two per ship on the Odyssey and Encore classes.
- Signature Suites are the corner suites at the bow with wraparound verandas. Owner's Suites sit midship with a separate dining area.
- Penthouse Suites are the practical step up from the standard Veranda Suite. More floor, a bigger balcony, the same inclusions.
- Suite guests from Penthouse upward get a bottle of spirits on arrival and priority for the speciality restaurant, and not much else that the Veranda Suite does not.

From Florida
One ship usually winters in Miami or Fort Lauderdale for Caribbean and Panama Canal itineraries. Summer is Europe and Alaska, and the expedition ships are in the Arctic and Antarctica, all reached by air from Fort Myers or Miami.
The ships
Seabourn Pursuit · Seabourn Venture · Seabourn Ovation · Seabourn Encore · Seabourn Quest · Seabourn Sojourn
Elegant and unhurried. Guests dress for dinner without being told to. The crew learns names on day one because there are only a few hundred to learn.

Who it fits
- Couples who want the smallest ship that still has a proper spa and several restaurants.
- Swimmers and paddlers. The marina is the reason to pick Seabourn over Regent.
- Anyone who dislikes queues, formal night rules and organised fun.
Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone who wants included excursions. Seabourn charges for them.
- Families with children. There is nothing for them on board.
